Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes fought on 2 October 1980 in Las Vegas in a bout famously dubbed "The Last Hurrah." Holmes, once Ali’s sparring partner and close companion, defeated him by TKO in the 10th round. Holmes later said, “He lived with Ali. They boxed hundreds of rounds.”
