Penrith’ were the the 1991 NRL Premiers. This magnificent team photo has been personally signed by Royce Simmons and Mark Geyer. Simmons scored two tries in this his final ever league game, winning 19-12 over Canberra.

Penrith developed a strong team in the late 80's and started to build momentum. They made their first Grand Final appearance in 1990 with a team boasting notable players such as Greg Alexander, John Cartwright, Brad Fittler, Steve Carter and Mark Geyer, only to be beaten by the Canberra Raiders 18–14.

In 1991, the Panthers met the Raiders again in the Grand Final, this time winning 19 to 12, including two tries to their stalwart hooker Royce Simmons. They went on to play Wigan in England for the 1991 World Club Challenge but were unfortunately beaten by the British champions.

Still, this team represents the Panthers at their very best.
