Product Details

Another amazing acquisition by Sports Online Memorabilia, a Maradona match-worn Argentina jersey from a period in which they were World Champions. The design of the number 10 is the same as that used on the iconic 1986 World Cup Argentina jersey and this design was used during the nation's transition from Le Coq Sportif to Adidas uniforms.

As with all of our pieces, fully covered by Sports Online's 100% Authenticity Guarantee. Pieces like this are demonstrably authentic based on their age, design, province, and so on. Additional AMA authentication available at no additional cost if desired.

Instalment Option: 4 monthly payments of $528.75 (unframed) or $611.25 (framed). The item is sent after the final payment is made. We ship internationally - no additional cost for unframed version and at cost for the framed version. Overseas buyers please pay via PayPal.

At his peak, Diego Armando Maradona was one of the greatest players ever to grace a football field and for many the little Argentinean maestro is the only man worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as the legendary Pele.

Immensely powerful, fast and outrageously talented, Maradona forged a reputation in club football with Boca Juniors, Barcelona and then Napoli in Italy but it was to be one the international stage, and particularly in the World Cup, that he was to forge a reputation as a world-class superstar.

First capped by his country at the age of 16 against Hungary, he played in the 1982 World Cup but it was four years later as Argentinean captain that he was to ensure his enduring place in football folklore.

Argentina went onto to beat West Germany in the final in 1986 to give Maradona the greatest moment of his career and although his later life has at times been overshadowed by controversy and ill health, he remains one of the most iconic figures the game has ever produced.
